Shared Print in Action: Discovering the Partenariat des bibliothèques universitaires du Québec
In 2022, the Partenariat des bibliothèques universitaires du Québec (PBUQ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the shared preservation of printed collections. This protocol aims to ensure both the preservation of selected documents and their availability. As part of this project, members first shared the preservation of a corpus of monographs in 2022. Then, in 2023, they proceeded with the analysis and distribution of Canadian printed periodicals, a significant technical and logistical challenge. GreenGlass was used throughout this project to assist with data aggregation.
This presentation aims to showcase this project, highlighting the challenges and technical solutions implemented to address them. The next steps and the project’s outcomes will also be illustrated. Please join North/Nord on May 29, 2026 at 1pm EST:
